Weiner-gate

This just in:  Not all men are idiots in spite of a growing body of evidence to the contrary.
Congressman Weiner is the latest - to get caught.  So he likes to tweet himself in his underwear.  Who cares if he's married?  When it comes to sex, any behavior beyond what I am familiar with is just...confusing.  That doesn't make it wrong.  I think there should only be two rules: (1) Consensual by both all parties involved and (2) Do nothing that will produce an X-man.
I don't want to be perceived as standing up for our most public of Weiners.  On the contrary.  I think he should be shown the door immediately.  He did two things wrong: (1) He tweeted his photo publicly and in such a way as to make certain he was the sender; all the while having no plan to explain the inevitable storm to follow - I'm saying he's an idiot.  And (2) he stood right up in front of us and lied to our faces about the event.
The number of people on disability is up 17% since the recession started.  There are now 16 workers to every person on disability.  Twenty years ago there were 32 workers per disabled.  Draw your own conclusions here.  I'm just saying...
Obama has no tools to unilaterally create jobs.  What this means is, congress and the president, together can get things done.  So let's peak in on congress...Nope, nothing going on there other than a bunch of finger wagging about some guy and his twitter account.
For some reason, when a Democrat has a sex scandal, I am less put-off than if a Republican had one.  I think the hypocrisy is bigger when a member of God's chosen party strays.
Speaking of God, I talked to him just last night.  Turns out he has a g-mail account.  He said I could ask one question so I used a 2-parter.  I asked, "Why can't women drive in Saudi Arabia and why can't women become priests in the Catholic church."  He responded with, "Don't ask me.  I have nothing to do with that."  He went on to add that he reads my blog every morning with coffee.
Thanks for the bump, God.
2012 Update:  First floods and then tornadoes.  Now we have an entire state burning to the ground.  Is it just me or are things moving to the west.  I'm betting on a big earthquake in California within the coming weeks.  You heard it here first.
I think all convicted gang members should be shipped to Somalia and denied reentry to the United States.  In my mind, they are domestic terrorists.
The Syrian president was put in a hospital by his own people.  In Yemen, the civilian population gunned down 120 government security forces.  In Libya,  Qadafffeeee (I give up on trying to spell that one) is still hunkered down with his female body builder hoping "his people" will stop shooting at him.  It seems that if we just stay out-of-the-way, the "Invisible Hand" of human ambition will eventually stand up and say, "I'm made as hell and I'm not going to take it any more!" Only then can lasting change take place.
It snowed yesterday up at Lake Tahoe.
Santorum wants to be the GOP candidate for president.  He is against gay rights, abortion and stem cell research.  This is the type of guy that would have found Galileo guilty of blasphemy.   He thinks he's doing God's will.  Maybe I should send him God's g-mail information.  Let him ask. I'll bet he gets an answer similar to mine.
I saw a CNN analysis that said the GOP could win the presidency if the economy does not improve.  This is not news to the GOP who has dedicated themselves to see that the economy stalls for as long as possible.  Forget the Wealth of Nations.  People react to what they believe to be true.  Uncertainty causes inaction.  Failure to act on the debt ceiling is the GOP's version of pulling a Pearl Harbor on our economy.
A congressional budget arm estimates that with the Medicare voucher system, we will be paying for 66% of our own elder care out of our pocket by the year 2030.  I think they must read my blog.
Daily quote: "A government that robs from Peter to pay Paul, can always depend on the support of Paul." - George Bernard Shaw.
Another week and I will bounce off of California on my way to Kansas City.  In the meantime, I'm keeping Europe safe.
Gotta run, there's e-coli afoot...
Up, up and away...
